I've been insanely busy for the last 2 weeks.. I had a 4 day trip out of town to prepare for as well as our first Christmas Eve party in our new home. Needless to say, I'm so glad that the holidays are over. I had a week off from work but I don't feel like I've rested at all.

I'm also terribly behind on comments and deviations, so my apologies if you have one floating out there that is still unanswered.

I took a hiatus that I'm sure no one noticed - but that's cool! I just needed to take a break from all things "on-line", as it was occupying too much of my time. I'm sitting around today, and will be until Monday, and thought I would upload a few photographs before I scurry off to make myself beautiful for dinner at my in-laws.

I was asked to bring a dessert since I'm a much more proficient baker than I am a cook, so I made a GIANT pumpkin cheesecake from scratch. I'm also bringing some fresh cranberry sauce since the fiance prefers that over the canned stuff that might be served. It's so easy and makes a huge difference!

As usual we're heading over to my Mom's house for Sunday dinner tonight. I believe she's making chicken cutlets, rice, and salad which is a change from our usual homemade gravy (or sauce, as some people say), pasta and bread. I love my Mom's cooking, any any time *I* don't have to cook is a good thing.

After much whining convincing, I've talked the fiance in to taking me down to The Strip tonight.. I've been dying to go to the Bellagio fountains and try my hand at some slow exposure shots. Normally, I wouldn't wait around for him to accompany me anywhere, especially if I've asked.. and asked.. and asked and he still hasn't given in.. But I REALLY hate driving, NO, I really hate PARKING on the strip. I get so lost and confused, even after all these years. Goes to show how much I go down there. I managed to talk him in to it by telling him it's Sunday and there probably won't be many people out there, nor much traffic to deal with. w00t

Other than that, the weekend has been slow and lazy. I spent a good chunk of the day yesterday photographing all the older jewelry I made before I got in to polymer clay, so I will be adding that stuff sporadically to my site [link] as well as to my DA gallery. All I have left are a FUCKLOAD of earrings that I just didn't have the energy for after shooting over 200 pieces yesterday. My eyes and arms/wrist were tired, so those will be left for another day.

Time to get ready to go, so toodle loo folks
